CO-OP and teamplay
The unique Dimension Jumper backdrop is not the only interesting detail on your journey to help Oliver discover his past, his future and everything linked to his destiny. Exploring the worlds or meeting the interesting characters of those worlds is going to be a treat for itself but there are additional ideas we play around with.
“We know that parents like to play with their kids, IF they have time. That’s the reason we are introducing areas into the game which can be played in co-op mode. You can enlist the help of a friend or family member and decide who is going to play Oliver and who Spike.
We have to see if this is something that will work both technically and gameplay wise. Hopefully we will be able to recruit the help of interested testers during further development and get feedback on our ideas.” – Natascha Röösli
These areas are going to be optional and won’t have to be completed to finish the story-line. You will however not be able to get through these areas if you play on your own and if you want to unlock additional achievements and find some more items you might want to have someone sitting on the couch with you and share your gameplay session. We think that providing the option to choose if you want to play alone or not, at any given time, is a great way of enhancing the player experience and fun without adding frustration.
Taking out any kind of frustration is very important and waiting for someone to play with is frustrating.
