Cornelius Conrad McSplice, known affectionately as simply, ‘The Professor’, is an accomplished engineer, theoretical physicist and holds a degree in advanced mathematics.

The only thing he loves more than tinkering with his inventions and gizmos, is his wife of many years, Clara, and their adoptive grandchild, Oliver.

He is a kind and generous man, who, while getting slightly over-enthusiastic about his scientific discoveries or newly completed, overly complicated invention, would literally take a bullet for those he holds near and dear if danger ever approached.

A child at heart, he is as much a friend to Oliver as a grandfather and mentor. He seems to enjoy pranks as much as his adoptive grandson, whether he plays them himself or one is played on him. He believes that the old expression, ‘boys will be boys’, applies to himself as well.
